Martin 00L Oliver – Limited-Edition Art-Meets-Music Guitar

The Martin 00L Oliver is a striking blend of visual artistry and guitar craftsmanship. Born from a collaboration with artist Julie Heffernan, her painting Self-Portrait as Arms and the Men is meticulously reproduced on the FSC®-certified solid spruce top, making each guitar a playable work of art. With only 104 pieces made, this is an instrument designed to inspire.

Built on a sloped-shoulder Grand Concert (00) body, the guitar combines medium-flamed koa satin back and sides—bridging the tonal warmth of mahogany with the clarity of rosewood—with a satin spruce top for balanced volume and projection, all while emphasizing sustainability.

True to Martin’s legacy, it delivers exceptional playability: a satin-finished, modified low oval mahogany neck with high-performance taper, and ebony fingerboard & bridge, paired with extended access to the 14th fret. Refined appointments like faux tortoise binding, a hand-signed label by Heffernan and CEO Thomas Ripsam, aluminum side dots, and abalone inlays elevate its visual and collectible appeal.

This guitar is truly a collector’s dream and a musician’s tool — a harmonious blend of story, artistry, and sound.
