Its 88-key Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard recreates the feel of an acoustic piano by providing a heavier touch in the lower register and a lighter response in the upper register.

Powered by Yamaha's AWM Stereo Sampling sound engine, the P-70 delivers rich and expressive piano tones based on carefully recorded samples from Yamaha concert grand pianos. The result is a natural and dynamic sound suitable for practice, lessons, and casual performance.

With 10 onboard voices, including acoustic pianos, electric pianos, organs, harpsichord, vibraphone, and strings, the P-70 offers a versatile palette of sounds. The Dual Mode function allows players to layer two sounds together for added depth and musical expression.
