The Kawai NV12 is the latest flagship model in the Novus series and the successor to the award-winning NV10S. This advanced hybrid piano combines a grand piano-inspired cabinet with cutting-edge acoustic technology and Kawai’s renowned Millennium III Hybrid grand action. Thanks to the innovative PentaDrive Soundboard system, the NV12 delivers an immersive, natural sound experience without traditional speakers, resonating through the cabinet just like an acoustic grand piano.

The instrument features a full grand damper mechanism for authentic pedal response and uses the SK-EX Rendering Sound Engine to reproduce the stunning tone of the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX concert grand. Players can choose between the bright SK-EX Competition Grand and the warm SK-EX Concert Grand, both rich in detail and harmonic depth. In addition, the NV12 offers a wide range of extra voices, including electric pianos, organs, strings, and more.

The Virtual Piano Artisan function allows players to fine-tune every aspect of the sound, from voicing and resonance to individual note adjustment. The new 5” color touchscreen with anti-glare coating provides intuitive, button-free control and can automatically turn off during performance for a more acoustic appearance. With built-in Bluetooth® MIDI/audio (version 5), a USB-C audio interface, and high-quality amplification, the NV12 offers modern connectivity and pristine sound quality through both speakers and headphones.
