Catalinbread Naga Viper MKII
A modern treble booster with classic British character
The Catalinbread Naga Viper MKII is a powerful and flexible treble booster inspired by the legendary Rangemaster circuits, fully reimagined for today’s players. The latest MKII version (early 2024) introduces a new ATTN control, allowing you to attenuate the incoming signal before it hits the booster circuit. This provides greater control, reduced unwanted saturation, and a cleaner, more musical boost into your amplifier.
With an updated transistor and a carefully reworked circuit, the Naga Viper MKII is hotter and more dynamic than ever. The extended ranges of the Heat and Boost controls allow you to dial in everything from a classic cutting treble boost to a slightly overdriven tone that pushes your amp into rich harmonic territory.
The Range control lets you decide how much low-end enters the circuit. Rolling it down gradually adds more bass, transforming the pedal from a traditional treble booster into a full-frequency boost with added gain. The new ATTN knob gives the circuit room to breathe, making the MKII equally suitable for single-coil and humbucker-equipped guitars.
The Naga Viper MKII supports standard 9V to 18V DC power supplies or a 9V battery, making it a perfect fit for both vintage-style and modern pedalboards.
